Wickford Kite Festival Sunday 17th September 2017 We were again invited back for the 5th year to the Wickford Kite Festival held at the Wick Country Park, Wickford, Essex. A good turnout of club cars. Arrived on site at 10.30am. Dark clouds loomed above us with only a very slight breeze, not good kite flying weather. It was not long before the wind picked up enough enough to get kites airbourne and the sun began to shine on us.
A lot of fantastic looking kites. Thanks to all that turned up for this event and many thanks to the Friends of the Wick Country Park  www.friendsofthewickcountrypark.co.uk
The Orsett Show Saturday 2nd September 2017 The Orsett Show 2017, We had a great turn out at the show this year, Big Thanks to the organisers for asking us to attend for another year. We had 24 classic vehicles and as usual we had a great responce from the public. The show itself was very good this year more stall than 2016. All the arenas had something going on all day long. Displays included model aircraft, farm machinery, tractors and much more. Again the weather was kind to us for this event.
Barling Magna Village Fair Sunday 27th August 2017 Barling  Magna 1st Village Fair Sunday 27th August. Set in a large field with surrounding countryside and a lovely view of the village church. The weather was very kind to us all, so it was chairs out, parasols up and sit back and relax. .
Allday music was provided by an on site DJ. Many stalls selling a variety of goods added to this  peaceful setting.
Well done to the organisers on this event, look forward to next year.

Heavy Horse Show Sunday 6th August 2017 Sunshine, cloudy & wind for this event. A good turnout of classic vehicles. Two new members joined the club today. As usual every horse looked spectacular. Plenty of activity in the arena and lots of stalls to browse.
Table and chairs out for lunch.
Thanks to the organisers of this event.

Coalhouse Fort Sunday 30th July 2017 A great day at a great venue. A road closure close to the fort caused a bit of confusion but most people found Coalhouse Fort. A mixture of cloud and sunshine with no rain. We had a good turnout of members and won the "Best Club Stand" and club member Stuart won "Car Of The Show" with his 1933 Austin 10 Clifton Tourer. A good day for the club well done to everyone. The Fort is a very interesting place to visit, lots of local history with guided tours. It is run by volunteers who do an excellent job.
Corringham Classic Car Show Sunday 23rd July 2017 A lovely day & setting for this show. Good turnout of club cars. Quite a lot to do and see wandering around the stalls. An excellent display of classic vehicles in general.
Our club won "Best Club Stand". Peter won "Best Vintage Car" with his Buick.
Well done to all.
Margaretting Fun Day Saturday 8th July 2017 A real fun day. Around 30 classic cars on site included, Hillman Avenger, Morris Marina, Yugo 45, split screen Morris Minor, Lancia and many more. A steel band played in the background, dancing around the Maypole by local school children. The Spitfire & Hurricane flypast was exciting both to see & hear. Beer tent & BBQ kept visitors fed & watered. The tug of war for adults & children proved very popular.
London to Southend Sunday 2nd July 2017

24th annual London to Southend Classic Vehicle Run Sunday 2nd July 2017
Leaving at nine o’clock in the morning, from Fairlop Waters in Hainault, under the direction of the starting flag of the Mayor of Redbridge, our classic vehicles set off on a leisurely 50 mile run through the sleepy towns and villages of Essex, concluding at Southend-On-Sea’s wonderful City Beach area.
Assembling along the seafront, near the dancing fountains, together with more classic vehicles, provided a magnificent static display of vehicles from the 1930s right through to the 1980.
Every entrant was presented with a Participant Rally Plate, a ‘goodie bag’ and a Commemorative Brass Plaque to celebrate the event.
Entertainment on the city Beach, was provided from 10am right through to 4-30pm by our DJ & master of ceremonies Peter May, from ‘Flippin Mental’
The day started and ended in sunshine with a light breeze.
Well done to all that took part in this great event.
Don't foget next year will be our 25th London to Southend Run.

Steam & Cider Fair Saturday 1st July 2017 A good day, cloudy but warm. A nice show of members cars. Lots to see at this event, woodcarving with a chainsaw, birds of prey, motor car & motor cycle stunt team, steam vehicles large & small. Country & western singers on stage. Even the Mayor & Mayoress of Barking & Dagenham posed for a photo with our club van Buttercup.
Barnards Farm 25th June 2017 Club picnic day at Barnards Farm. Good turnout of club cars and collected 2 new members. Weather a little overcast but the rain stayed away. Barnards Farm is a fascinating place to visit. It has a collection of vintage cars, motorcycles & cycles. The gardens are vast & varied. A narrow gauge railway is a great way to see some of the sights. A great day with plenty of picnic tables full with food.
Dogs Trust Fun Day Sunday 18th June 2017 A very hot day for our canine friends. As usual this event was bathed in sunshine. A good selection of classic vehicles attended. Plenty of stalls to look at and lots going in and around the arena. A good turnout of club cars.
The Enfield Pageant 28th May 2017 A few members went to The Enfield Pageant. This is a great three day show although we only went on the Sunday. There was a large auto jumble so plenty to spend your hard earned cash on. A good selection of cars, vans & lorries to see. The motor bike stunt show was well worth watching.
Billericay Soapbox Derby 1st May 2017 This year we had our own soapbox entered in this event. Our team of designers, constructors & pitstop crew all did a magnificent job. A good day 1 or 2 light showers, but this did not dampen anyones enthusiasm.
Some really whacky soapbox designs. A good turn out of club members.
Well done to everyone taking part in this event.

Drive It Day 23rd April 2017 Colne Valley Railway National Drive It Day 23rd April 2017. We met at The Toby Carvery, Runwell & traveled in convoy to The Colne Valley Railway. Plenty to see & do at this venue. Train rides top of the list. Walking round admiring the 200 + classic vehicles including cars, vans, lorries, steam traction engines & caravans.
A great day out. Thanks to all those that attended this event.
Thriplow 19th March 2017 Classic car enthusiasts from all over the Essex, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire areas travelled to see the magnificent spring display of Daffodils spread throughout the village.

Thanks to all who attended and of course staff at The Eagle.
Billericay Christmas Market Sunday 4th December A cold and frosty morning but we still turned up in our classic cars for this great day.
