What an amazing place. Cars, Motorcycles, Cycles, Gardens, Sculptures there is something for everyone.
We spent nearly 5 hours wandering around the grounds. In the garages and cycle shop staff answered every question that was put to them with a smile.
Every vehicle is serviced and driven on a regular basis. Records of work and servicing are to be seen on the walls behind eash vehicle.
Every Garden has a theme, some had lakes or rivers in them.

Tiptree Jam Factory Sunday 18th August Click Title Above for more pictures.
Departing from The Thomas Kemble Pub we started the 20 mile drive to Tiptree Jam Factory & Tea Rooms. The drive started very wet,  but after about 15 minutes rain stopped and the sun was out. Sitting down for lunch some of our group had  sandwiches others opted for the cream tea. The little museum gives a little bit of history of how it all started. Exhibits consisted of documents, photographs, machinery & clothing of the day. A very enjoyable day.

After a couple of weeks of glorious sunshine, the heat wave finally broke. It was a cloudy Coalhouse Fort Open Day on the Sunday.

The prospect of rain did not put classic vehicle owners off attending this popular very event.
Even so we had a good turnout of members. It's good to see that restoration work is still being carried out at this venue.

Click Title Above for more pictures.
Our 26th annual London to Southend Classic Vehicle Run was once again a show stopper. The sun beamed down on us all day long with a nice cooling sea breeze
Leaving at nine o’clock in the morning, from Fairlop Waters in Hainault, under the direction of the starting flag of the Mayor of Redbridge. Classic vehicles set off on a leisurely 50 mile run through the sleepy towns and villages of Essex, concluding at Southend-On-Sea’s wonderful City Beach location.
Assembling along the seafront, near the dancing fountains, together with more classic vehicles, provided a magnificent static display of vehicles from the 1930s right through to the 1980.
Every entrant was presented with a Participant Rally Plate ,a ‘goodie bag’ and a commemorative plaque to celebrate the event.
Entertainment on the City Beach, was provided from 10am right through to 4.30pm by our DJ & master of ceremonies Peter May, from ‘Flippin Mental’. We also had a team Storm Troopers (Star Wars) members of UK Garrison and Batman was also walking around the seafront.
Well done to all who took part to make this a very special event.

Again this year we had our own soapbox entered in this event. Our team of designers, constructors & pitstop crew all did a magnificent job. In fact they did such a great job and won a Trophy for the fastest time down the course.
A chilly overcast day that did not stop members turning up in their classic vehicles. A large crowd viewed this event throughout the Day. At the end of the first session there was a display of Disney characters finishig with Cinderella & Prince Charming arriving in a 2 horse carriage.

This year we boarded Tobys 1952 AEC RF bus to take us to The Eagle Pub in Ongar. Our route was along the A127 turning right onto the A128, through Brentwood then to Ongar. This was our 3rd year at The Eagle. About 50 of us sat down to enjoy a very good meal from a very good menue and specials board. Served by Bev and her staff. A great day, great company.
Thanks to all who attended, Toby our driver and of course staff at The Eagle.
